SmartCause, Inc.
is a non-profit organization dedicated to changing the world through
intelligent philanthropy. There are an estimated 2 million non-profit
organizations in the United States and it can be hard to tell
the good from the bad.
SmartCause.org is designed to let
people research the causes they care about, connect with charities
that are making a difference, and donate their support in a way that
is easy and efficient. This way you can do more than feel like
you're doing some good, you can know that you're doing good.

by filling out one of our easy-to-use SmartForms™ -- we'll
provide everything you need and give you instructions for every

Evan Rutledge started working on SmartCause
in 2006 when he realized that charities
needed a better way to raise money and donors
needed a better way to select charities.
A marketing and public relations professional,
Evan left the for-profit sector for good
in late 2006, dedicating all of his efforts
to SmartCause. |

Peace
Chief Technology Officer
David Peace joined SmartCause in 2006
when he heard about the project that Evan
had started. After getting an understanding
of the requirements ahead, he decided
to dedicate his time and efforts to making
SmartCause.org a reality.
David brings
nine years of programming and technology
experience to SmartCause.
